Observant C2

Description

The Observant C2 was the 2nd generation of Observant telemetry unit. Constructed for the most part out of sheetmetal the C2 was a response to the need to build a more robust enclosure to protect sensitive electronics. Via a removable door housing the solar panel and electronics, the user could access a battery box containing the SLA battery and any required sensor/antenna cabling. This was a leap forward in terms of cable protection in this class of product.

Ultimately it was quantities of scale that drove the move away from a labour intensive sheetmetal fabricated product to an injection moulded one, the C2 was then ultimately superseded by the C3.
