Observant Solo

Description

Similar to the C3, the Observant Solo is a self-contained battery and solar powered wireless sensing and control platform on a smaller scale.

With a single 36 WHr battery pack, and a much smaller, fully integrated 2 watt PV panel the Solo is designed for monitoring sites with only one or two sensors to service. The lower price point also means the Solo can be deployed in greater numbers. Useful where, for example, higher density soil moisture data or the like is required.

The Solo follows similar lines in terms of materials to the C3, though intentionally somewhat less conspicuous. Along with with a single battery pack (the same as used in the C3), the Solo internals are comprised of a single 4-layer PCA. Despite having fewer connectivity options than the C3, the Solo boasts some extra features such as a direct solenoid drive output and bluetooth wireless communications hardware.
